REAL PEOPLE · REAL MOMENTS IN VIENNA
THE PROBLEM IS NOT YOUR FACE

Being photogenic is not something you are born with.

If you do not know what to do with your hands, your gaze or your body, every photograph can feel like a test. That is exactly what we practise, without judgement.

No modelling experienceNo posing testCome as you are
NATURAL DOES NOT LOOK THE SAME FOR EVERYONE

You do not need to find one “correct” pose.

Walking, pausing, turning or simply looking quietly: together we discover what feels right for you.

Natural movement in front of the camera

Move instead of posing.

Your body often finds a natural position on its own.

Trying a small change in posture

Try one small change.

A turn, a glance or a hand. No complicated instructions.

A quiet natural portrait

Recognise yourself.

A photograph can feel beautiful and still feel like you.

WHY A SMALL GROUP?

Being photographed in front of other people may sound even harder.

That is why the group stays small. You take turns. Nobody is in the spotlight for an entire hour.

You have breaks.

While another person is photographed, you can breathe and observe.

You learn by watching.

You see how small prompts change hands, expression and movement.

You can come alone.

You do not need to bring your own group. Everyone is there to practise, not to compare.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m Stan.

I photograph people in Vienna and like images that do not feel like rehearsed poses.

I give you small prompts, watch what works for you and build the photographs from there. You do not need to know anything beforehand.

You will not become someone else.
You will simply feel a little more like yourself in front of a camera.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions?

I feel very uncomfortable in front of a camera. Is this for me?

Yes. You need no experience and do not need to know how to pose. That is exactly what this hour is for.

Can I come alone?

Yes. You do not need to bring your own group. You may also book several places if a friend, partner or colleague would like to join you.

Will the session take place with only two people?

Yes. Camera Practice takes place with at least two participants and a maximum of four.

What should I wear?

Something that feels like you and lets you move comfortably. Simple combinations usually work especially well.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Light rain does not necessarily stop us. If the weather makes the session impossible, we will find another solution.

Do I receive the RAW files?

No. You receive a selection of approx. 10 individually edited photographs.
